Abstract Nouns


An abstract noun is a word that we can’t detect through our five senses. In other words, they are nouns that can’t be seen, heard, smelled, tasted or touched.

Examples

His bravery was impressive by any standards.
Curiosity often leads to nothing but trouble.
Her beauty makes her famous in the whole school. (beauty is abstract)
What made me successful was my dedication to my work.
